ARLINGTON, Va., June 25 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Communities In Schools, the nation's largest dropout prevention organization, is pleased to announce founder Bill Milliken will be among the honorees at the Minority Enterprise Executive Council's "50 Most Powerful Minority CEO's and Corporate Executives Awards" gala. The event, which recognizes minority and women business leaders, will be held at the Capital Hilton Hotel in Washington, D.C., on June 25 from 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM EDT.

The event's keynote speaker will be Gloria Parker, CEO and Senior Partner of Parker Group Consulting. Ms. Parker has served on the Obama-Biden transition team, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and the U.S. Department of Education.

A portion of the event's proceeds will be donated to Communities In Schools to help students who are at risk of dropping out stay in school and go on to college.
