Dr. Klein was selected among hundreds of other applicants to participate in one of the most important and influential committees in the HIMSS organization.

He draws from more than 20 years of notable achievements throughout the healthcare industry, including senior positions at the U. S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Department of Defense, Kaiser Permanente, and Sanofi Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Dr. Klein holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical College of Georgia School of Medicine, a Master's in Public Health from the Emory University School of Medicine, a Master of Business Administration degree from the State University System of Georgia and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California at Davis. Dr. Klein completed his residency training at the University of Arizona School of Medicine Phoenix campus and the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Klein also currently serves as the President of the American Academy of Disaster Medicine, and was the former Chairman of the Board of Directors for the American Academy of Urgent Care Medicine.
