We will have to see whether this kind of technical leadership converts into swift mass-market adoption or not.

Style Report 7 Leverages J2EE Technology

InetSoft's latest enterprise reporting and business intelligence solution designed to make BI available and affordable to a wide range of users, helping customers overcome information barriers, accelerating their decision making process. The new Style Report 7 combines enterprise reporting and analysis functions into an open standards based, integrated, light weight business platform that eliminates the complexity of managing and supporting a proprietary, monolithic business intelligence platform, the company says.

Until now, business intelligence efforts have tended to be expensive IT projects with uncertain outcome, and technology solutions have been limited by the complexity and steep learning curve of BI solutions. According to industry analysts, 50 percent or more of business intelligence projects are not considered successful. Business intelligence projects are often difficult for many organizations due to the complexity and risk of integrations with diverse and disparate infrastructure.

This new Style Report 7 leverages the open and versatile capabilities of J2EE platform to create a solution optimized to help clients identify, integrate, manage and analyze information, in real-time and regardless of the type of information, platform or vendor. By extending InetSoft's existing enterprise reporting and analysis capabilities to provide clients even more advanced technology, InetSoft is further underscoring its longtime leadership in the light weight, integrated business intelligence market.

"Style Report 7 is the first light weight business intelligence platform that integrates the full range business intelligence functions into a unified user experience." said Luke Liang, VP marketing and sales, InetSoft. "Business intelligence is penetrating into every corner of enterprises. Clients are seeking a easy to use platform that will help integration efforts than create more issues down the road. Style Report will help them achieve the goal much easier."

For end users, Style Report 7 expands the self service functions while reducing manual information analysis load. Report explorer enables end users to manipulate pre-designed reports for maximum application. Ad hoc reporting enables customers to minimize IT reliance while expanding information availability. Advanced dashboard, alerts and other monitoring mechanism automate important management tasks while reducing information load. Report bursting reduces large report generation demand by automatically dispersing sections of a report to different users and roles according to security settings.

For professional report designer, Style Report 7 includes an array of advanced enhancements that are certain productivity booster. With Style Report’s freehand table and advanced parameter mapping technology, complex operational reports can be easily created and delivered. Team development is supported now by Style Report with both server based locking and file system based locking. ERWin import capability help customers reuse data models designed for other purpose while drastically reducing maintenance requirement. Multiple data source join provides a light weight mechanism for mixing disparate data for reporting and analysis.
