Microsoft and the government of Taiwan are going to set up a cloud research center before the end of the year. It should help local contract manufacturers develop cloud devices and services. Quanta, for instance, intends to start churning out cloud servers at some point. Microsoft means to spend $9.5 billion in 2010 and a lot of it is earmarked for the cloud.
