Richard Davies wrote: The UK has a good crop of technology pioneers in cloud computing - for example ElasticHosts, FlexiScale, Flexiant, OnApp - and also some strong government initiatives such as G-Cloud. We will have to see whether this kind of technical leadership converts into swift mass-market adoption or not.

Latest Social Media Trends in PR and Marketing
Spots Still Available for Friday, November 20th All-Day Interactive Forum with Leading Brands and Top Agencies

PR Camp New York and Bernaise Source Media will debut a different way to engage PR and marketing professionals this Friday, November 20th.

The highly interactive, day-long program features a lineup of top agencies and leading brands. Industry experts in PR and marketing will lead a series of breakout discussions on how to market, measure and manage social media.

"PR Camp New York aims to be different from traditional conferences, which rely on power point presentations and panels," said Dan Greenfield, PR Camp New York organizer and principal of Bernaise Source Media, a communications consulting practice. "We are not the first to use an interactive format, and we are not the only PR event in town. But to get a group of hard working, over scheduled New York area professionals to take one day to engage with one another, we have to offer something special. We think we do that."

PR Camp will feature several sessions that will pair off industry experts to explore "tensions" within the industry:

  • Clients and Agencies
  • Young and Experienced Professionals
  • Marketing and PR

Topics include client buy-in for social media programs, human resource management, success measurement and marketing/PR alignment. The goal is not conflict; it's to foster collaboration and build consensus.
