In many cases, the end of the year gives you time to step back and take stock of the last 12 months. This is when many of us take a hard look at what worked and what did not, complete performance reviews, and formulate plans for the coming year. For me, it is all of those things plus a time when I u...

Reactivity Achieves Liberty Alliance SAML 2.0 Conformance
Enables Enterprises to Seamlessly Apply and Integrate Federated Identity to Their XML Web Services Initiatives

BELMONT, Calif., Aug. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Reactivity(R), Inc., the leader in secure XML infrastructure, today announced its flagship XML Gateways have passed Liberty Alliance SAML 2.0 interoperability testing for SAML Attribute Authority Requester, enabling enterprises to seamlessly apply and integrate federated identity to their XML Web services initiatives. The Reactivity Gateways proved conformance in the latest Liberty-sponsored test, the first to test for OASIS SAML 2.0 standard interoperability, and were the only XML Gateway to participate in the event.

Following a rigorous testing process, the Reactivity Gateways proved conformance of its SAML Attribute Authority Requester against other SAML Attribute Authority Responder implementation types, proving they are truly interoperable out of the box and able to shorten deployment cycles, increase productivity and save costs. As part of the testing, Reactivity had to demonstrate interoperability with at least two other randomly selected participants, repeating operation of the Liberty specification's core features in many combinations and sequences and in different roles and contexts common to real-world deployments.

"Reactivity has again shown its leadership in this fast-moving industry, demonstrating full SAML 2.0 compliance and receiving the coveted Liberty Alliance Interoperable mark of quality," said Andrew Nash, CTO of Reactivity. "Enterprises now can have greater confidence when applying Reactivity XML Gateways' integrated and optimized federated identity capabilities to their Web services initiatives."

The Liberty Interoperable(TM) Program validates implementations of the Liberty Alliance standards for federated network identity and identity-based Web services. The program helps vendors, integrators and implementers ensure interoperability between Liberty-enabled solutions. Liberty Alliance offers interoperability events on a regular basis and recently expanded the program to include products and services implementing SAML 2.0. Interested parties should contact Liberty Alliance at info@projectliberty.org for logistics and registration information. The program is open to both members and non-members.
