PrismTech is joining forces with Nextel Engineering Systems to deliver much-needed, highly-reliable and Real-Time data management solutions. As part of its software and services offerings, Nextel Engineering will now deliver and support PrismTech’s best-in-class suite of middleware products.

The key focus of this alliance will be around OpenSplice DDS, a high-performance, Real-Time publish/subscribe middleware, which enables Quality-of-Service (QoS) enabled Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and net-centric applications. OpenSplice DDS’s basic kernel is available under Open Source licensing but optional subscription bundles are available from PrismTech that include both professional support and value-adding features and tools. OpenSplice DDS offers a unique ability to provide low-latency, high-throughput and yet predictable and robust data dissemination across distributed systems. The preferred solution in the Mil/Aero sector in Europe, OpenSplice DDS is also increasingly recognized for the value it can add to performance critical systems in other vertical markets, such as financial services, manufacturing, SCADA, transportation, and telecommunications.
