DrayTek Corp. (TSE:6216), a Taiwan-based networking solutions provider, today announces the positive review from PC PROFESSIONALE in Italy. PC PROFESSIONALE values DrayTek VigorIPPBX 2820 with compliment "a new and all-in-one IP PBX with versatile features for small and medium size companies". Furthermore, the Digit Map provides simple and effective mechanism for users to utilize the least cost routing (LCR) for calls. With VigorIPPBX 2820, there are unified communications of 4 voice channels through IP for the built-in ISDN interfaces and PSTN (analog) phones. The integrated two BRI ISDN ports consist of 4 B channels. The 4 B channels with multiple subscribed numbers (MSN) facilitate outbound/inbound calls directly or through connection of ISDN PBX. With IP PBX functionality, users can establish up to 50 IP-based extensions locally and/or remotely. The configuration of user name/password for IP phones can be done by Web User Interface (WUI) of VigorIPPBX 2820. After that, the auto provisioning will send configuration connected to speed up user's installation. Users can establish 6 SIP accounts for simultaneous connections (incoming/outgoing calls). The SIP trunk providers such as ITSPs apply different tariffs for on/off net. The users of a small or medium size company can pick the right combination to make distance calls. Along with Digit Map, users can select best value SIP automatically based on number dialed. In addition, the calls to subscribers to the same ITSP are established directly across the Internet. The SIP calls without PSTN involved will not incur call costs. DID (Direct Inward Dialing) facility is also called direct dial-in. It allows a call to route into a single extension or Group of phone numbers. It is very useful for a company to combine several extensions as one hunt group for handling incoming calls (e.g. sales team). The VigorIPPBX 2820 is deployed with auto attendant to respond to incoming calls with welcome message and company information (divisions, business hour, extension instructions) by interactive voice response (IVR). A company can record relevant messages via IVR. Like traditional PABX, the VigorIPPBX 2820 is designed with rich-featured supplementary services such as music-on-hold, voice mail, and call barring, which restricts certain types of outgoing calls. DrayTek VigorIPPBX 2820 is not only an IP PBX but also ADSL2/2+ security router. The bandwidth management and QoS (Quality of Service) of VigorIPPBX 2820 series allows users to allocate bandwidth to time-critical business applications such as data, voice, surveillance, telephony and video conference. The DoS/DDoS prevention and URL/Web content filter strengthen the security outside and inside the network. With fear of data leakage and illegal file downloading, the Content Security Management (CSM) and object-base firewall offers offices comprehensive protection and prevention. The primary WAN interface is for connection to an ADSL line. Through other Ethernet-based Internet feeds, the second WAN port can be backup or load balancing. The USB port can be connected with a 3.5G USB modem as backup while the primary ADSL line drops. Besides that, users can connect USB disk or hard-drive to the USB port for file sharing. The VigorIPPBX 2820 provides FTP access file uploading/downloading, which can be used from the Local LAN or from anywhere on the Internet. Each of them can have their own directories and/or file access rights. The Virtual Local Area Network (Virtual LAN, VLAN) enables a company to segment each of the Ethernet ports to create separate groups of users, and these users can only communicate within their defined group. About DrayTek DrayTek, state-of-the-art firmware designer and quality hardware producer is the reliable supplier of novel networking & telecommunications for SOHO and SMB. At present, DrayTek's solutions, ranging from enterprise-level firewalls, mission-critical bandwidth management and comprehensive VPN facilities, triple play routers, to prospective IP PBX solutions, can meet the market trend and go above and beyond customers' expectations.
