Commtouch Appoints Francois Depayras as Vice President, Americas Sales and Business Development

Commtouch® (NASDAQ:CTCH), a leading messaging and Web security provider, announced today that its U.S. subsidiary has appointed Francois Depayras to the position of Vice President, Americas Sales and Business Development.

Mr. Depayras has over a decade of experience in the messaging market, from his leadership roles at Critical Path and Ensim as well as his prior affiliation with Commtouch. At Critical Path, Mr. Depayras served as Senior Product Manager, responsible for the development of a hosted email solution targeting large enterprises. He then served as Vice President of Sales and Alliances at Ensim, where he was responsible for managing worldwide sales of user provisioning software solutions targeting both service providers and enterprises, and managed relationships with strategic partners. Prior to these positions, Mr. Depayras worked at Commtouch for four years in a variety of roles, his last post being Director of Business Development. He holds an MBA from San Francisco State University.

“We're extremely pleased to welcome Francois back to Commtouch,” said Ido Hadari, Commtouch's chief operating officer. “His work in the field, both at the vendor level and with the service provider community, brings a new perspective to the way we can further strengthen our market presence. The hiring of Francois completes our preparation for 2010, for which we have now laid the groundwork with a strategically focused team of experienced and aggressive sales and marketing professionals.”

“Not many people have the opportunity to be part of the leading company in its field; I am enjoying that privilege twice,” said Mr. Depayras. “I look forward to working with Commtouch’s partner base, to bring them top-notch messaging and Web security solutions.”

Mr. Depayras will be replacing Avner Avram, who is leaving Commtouch after 14 years.

“Avner is leaving Commtouch decorated with many accomplishments, and we love and admire him both on a personal and professional level,” said Gideon Mantel, Commtouch’s chief executive officer and chairman of the board. “All of us at Commtouch thank him and wish him the best of luck in all his future endeavors.”
