Company Outlines Desktop, Data Center, Security, Management and Workgroup Solutions at BrainShare Barcelona

Novell announced a series of key customer wins, new technology offerings, and community initiatives at its BrainShare Europe event in Barcelona. Under the new banner of Software for the Open Enterprise, Novell highlighted key solutions and products in five core customer IT areas: the desktop, data center, security and identity management, resource management, and workgroups.

Software for the Open Enterprise leverages a unique, yet flexible, combination of open standards-based software to help customers manage, simplify, secure, and integrate heterogeneous IT environments at low cost. "Software for the Open Enterprise reflects the direction the industry is heading," said Jack Messman, chairman and CEO of Novell. They want to regain control of their IT environments, and that's what we intend to help them accomplish."

Novell has unparalleled credentials for delivering software for the open enterprise. Its strong portfolio of products are all designed to work across multiple platforms, including Windows, Linux and key components of the open source stack.
