Richard Davies wrote: The UK has a good crop of technology pioneers in cloud computing - for example ElasticHosts, FlexiScale, Flexiant, OnApp - and also some strong government initiatives such as G-Cloud. We will have to see whether this kind of technical leadership converts into swift mass-market adoption or not.

In many cases, the end of the year gives you time to step back and take stock of the last 12 months. This is when many of us take a hard look at what worked and what did not, complete performance reviews, and formulate plans for the coming year. For me, it is all of those things plus a time when I u...

Toy Fair 2010 a Resounding Success for Uncle Skunkle Toys
Rapid 4(R) More Named a Top Pick by TDmonthly Magazine's Toy Fair Retailer Panel; Gaunt-O-Lot(C) Recognized as One of TDmonthly's "Products of the Day"

BEAVERTON, OR -- (Marketwire) -- 02/22/10 -- Uncle Skunkle Toys, Inc. (UST), a developer of games that not only look good in your living room, but also bring fun and enjoyment to the entire family, is pleased to announce that its Rapid 4® More and Gaunt-O-Lot© games were recognized by TDmonthly Magazine during the Toy Industry Association's (TIA) Toy Fair '10, held last week in New York City.

TDmonthly Magazine's first-ever expert panel of specialty toy-story owners at Toy Fair chose Rapid 4 More as one of its "top picks" on Sunday, Feb. 14. Rapid 4 More is a next-generation game that enables more players to enjoy the game together, and puts a whole new dimension to connection games by adding a second board and playing tray. Player engagement reaches a whole new level when players must choose to block their opponents at the request of other players, establish a play of their own, or make a nothing move so that others cannot win.

On Wednesday, Feb. 17, TDmonthly Magazine recognized Gaunt-O-Lot as one of its "Products of the Day." Introduced this year at Toy Fair '10, Gaunt-O-Lot is a fast-paced Build 'em up - Knock 'em down game that harkens back to the medieval times, where battle was about honor and chivalry. Players take turns defending their castles while others attempt to knock their opponent's wrecking ball off the track. This action-packed game allows players to answer one question -- are they builders or destroyers?

"We are very pleased at the outcome of this year's Toy Fair, and honored that TDmonthly and its retail panel have recognized Rapid 4 More and Gaunt-O-Lot among their top products featured at the show," said David Schreiber, President, Uncle Skunkle Toys, Inc. "Uncle Skunkle Toys has worked very hard over the years to build a solid reputation as a developer of award-winning, socially responsible board games that bring fun, excitement and intrigue to any family game night, and our success at Toy Fair further validates these efforts."

At Toy Fair '10, Uncle Skunkle Toys also introduced Drawer Dropper, a fast-action discard game where Jack Pot! could mean trouble! This fast-paced, turn-style game combines strategy, luck and a good memory to create endless chaotic fun.

About Uncle Skunkle Toys, Inc.

Uncle Skunkle Toys (UST) was founded in 1996 by J. David Schreiber and Rod Boutin in order to bring to life a thesis project that David had prepared while earning his masters' degree at City University of Seattle. Today, UST is a high-performance based contractor organization that is directly responsible for all distribution, marketing and sales of its products in the U.S. Its family of award-winning products include Rapid 4® and Destruct 3© games.

UST strives to be a socially responsible organization, and manufactures its games using second-generation materials. The company also uses minimal packaging, and every effort is taken to reduce waste during the manufacturing process. UST's team members spend hundreds of volunteer hours every year focusing on building up social entrepreneurship in the regions where we do business. One such program is Kids Ark in Thailand, an organization whose mission is to find a solution to the AIDS epidemic in Thailand by offering employment opportunities in local villages.
