"We are delighted to have a prominent UML tool developer for embedded real-time applications join the Eclipse Foundation," said executive director Mike Milinkovich this week as I-Logix joined the Foundation as a full member of the Add-In-Provider and Eclipse membership at large communities.
"I-Logix is delighted to be a member of the seminal Eclipse Foundation, and will enable Eclipse penetration in the UML based design environments especially for developing embedded systems and software," said Neeraj Chandra (pictured), I-Logix SVP of Marketing and Corporate Development.
I-Logix joins fellow industry leaders Borland, IBM, Serena, QNX Software, Red Hat, Fujitsu and Hitachi to name but a few companies that have united to form a universal platform for tools integration.
The company will assist in creating an open, extensible Unified Modeling Language (UML) development platform for software development focused on embedded systems and real-time applications, said Chandra.
