BIO-key International will be showcasing its fingerprint biometrics products at the Oracle OpenWorld 2005 conference in San Francisco from September 19th through 22nd, and will provide hands-on product demonstrations of its state-of-the-art identification technology.

BIO-key's fingerprint identification solution will be used to register and identify contestants in the G-FORCE Sweepstakes at Oracle OpenWorld 2005 that is being sponsored by Oracle Corporation, F5 Networks, Vormetric and BIO-key.

The core of the identity collection for this sweepstakes is BIO-key's WEB-key, a cost effective, secure architecture for fingerprint authentication across open networks. WEB-key operates on Oracle Application Server 10g and Oracle Database 10g. This unique solution allows users to positively identify themselves using their fingerprint, into any application supported by Oracle Application Server 10g. It also provides a simple way for users to add True User Identification(TM) to any critical transaction. This capability provides companies with the tools to comply with government regulations and legislation such as HIPAA, Sarbanes Oxley, and the Electronic Signatures Act.

In addition to the integration of the WEB-key product with the Oracle Application Server 10g, BIO-key has developed an advanced fingerprint-indexing tool which uses the fingerprint as the primary identifier of a unique record in the database. This is a significant departure from other solutions requiring cards, ids or tokens to initiate the biometric authentication.
