Unlike Chrome, litlOS is focused on creating a new and better web experience for the home, so we don't have the usual browser interface, we have our own innovative UI. In conjunction with easel mode (litl's inverted-V position) and our growing cohort of litl channels (special apps t...

Eclipse.Org ALF Project Selects Catalyst Tool
OpenMake Chosen by Eclipse.org As Proof-of-Concept Build Appllication

Catalyst Systems has had its flagship product Openmake selected as a proof-of-concept build solution for the Eclipse Application Lifecycle Framework (ALF) Project. The ALF Project is important to the Eclipse organization because it elevates the Eclipse framework beyond an integrated development environment (IDE) solution into the larger space of integrated systems management software that supports the development lifecycle process. From requirements-gathering through the configuration-management, build and release process, the ALF Project will give a diverse set of multi-vendor tools the ability to share critical information.

Tracy Ragan, chief executive officer of Catalyst Systems Corporation, stated, "Catalyst Systems is very pleased to be part of this important Eclipse Project. Our Openmake customers will enjoy the benefits of our involvement as we work closely with the other selected proof-of-concept solutions to define the information-sharing process and include new and critical data in our build logs, impact analyses and audit reports."

According to Kevin Parker, vice president of Market Development, Serena Software, Inc., and Eclipse ALF Project lead, "We are excited that Catalyst has joined Serena and the other leading vendors that are participating in the ALF proof of concept. Having Openmake as part of the project will further demonstrate the significant customer benefits that true interoperability among lifecycle tools can deliver."

Openmake integrates with the major configuration-management tools such as Serena ChangeMan Dimensions, Serena ChangeMan Professional, CA Allfusion Harvest, CVS, MKS Source Integrity and IBM ClearCase. In addition, Openmake
has an Eclipse and .Net plug-in and it is IBM-validated "Ready for Rational." The Openmake IDE plug-ins allow for building inside or outside the development IDEs without writing hard-coded make or Ant/XML build scripts.
