Visual StudioQuest Extends its Core Performance Management Capabilities to Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Application Developers with Launch of New Extensions.

Quest Software, a leading provider of application, database and infrastructure management solutions, has announced that it has become a premier member of the Microsoft Visual Studio Industry Partner (VSIP) program and has launched extensions to the Visual Studio 2005 integrated development environment (IDE).

SQL Optimizer and CompareRocket, the new Quest extensions for Visual Studio 2005, provide developers with the ability to optimize SQL code, and compare and synchronize their database and database attributes. Each capability contributes to optimal application performance when deploying applications to production.

Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 helps organizations improve the speed with which applications are deployed and decrease development cycles and their costs. It supports application developers from modeling to development and deployment.

As a premier Visual Studio Industry Partner, Quest Software was provided access to Visual Studio APIs to develop extensions, which take advantage of the combined core competencies of Microsoft and Quest to ensure that SQL performance is maximized at every stage of Visual Studio application development.
