McAfee, Inc. Leads in Enterprise AntiSpyware
Independent Research Firm Names McAfee AntiSpyware Enterprise as a Leader for its Strong Management and Reporting Capabilities

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Jan. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- McAfee, Inc. , the leader in Intrusion Prevention and Risk Management solutions, today announced that it has been named the Leader in the January report, "Forrester Wave: Enterprise Antispyware, Q1 2006," for its strong management and reporting capabilities. According to the report, McAfee, Inc. leads in enterprise anti-spyware and scored well across all three of the Forrester categories for its current offering, company strategy and market presence. The report considers McAfee(R) AntiSpyware Enterprise a good choice for any company looking to deploy client security, further validating McAfee's unique position in the market to deliver an integrated, comprehensive solution for system security.

The report evaluated and positioned eight vendors that offer enterprise anti-spyware solutions that are stand alone or part of a client security suite. As part of the assessment, Forrester evaluated McAfee AntiSpyware Enterprise against approximately 105 criteria -- using vendor surveys, product demonstrations and customer reference calls. The results revealed that McAfee's distinguishable strength is its protection against unknown spyware.

According to the Forrester Wave report, McAfee Leads In Enterprise Antispyware, Forrester Research, Inc., January 2006, "McAfee's client security offering is top-notch," notes Natalie Lambert, research analyst with Forrester. "It offers customers the full protection of antivirus, anti-spyware, personal firewalls and host IPS -- in a single agent. With McAfee's focus entirely on security, McAfee customers will not need to worry about the priorities of their security vendor."

"McAfee is very pleased to obtain a Leader position in a Forrester Wave for the second time in one year," said Steve Crutchfield, director of Product Marketing, McAfee, Inc. "McAfee's dedication to security, worldwide presence and its success over the last 15 years has helped it establish a strong presence in the security market. This focus has enabled McAfee to lead the market in the delivery of the industry's first truly integrated and comprehensive system protection solution, helping its customers to safely eliminate potentially unwanted programs before they actually install and fully compromise systems."

McAfee was also recognized as a Leader in the June 2005 report, "Forrester Wave: Client Security Suites: Q2 '05," for its full client security portfolio, robust management features and strong architecture. To view an electronic copy of the report, please visit .
