Internet services provider Affinity Internet has announced the launch of its new ‘web hosting brand’, Gate.com , being announced as providing “a level of performance and reliability previously unattainable for most developers and designers”.
Both Gate.com’s Linux and Windows offerings utilize a clustered server platform which the company suggests helps eliminate website downtime and offer high performance and reliability. The wide range of technology available through Gate.com includes ASP.NET 2.0, PHP, and XML. Its Linux solutions include Symantec Brightmail Antispam and two terabytes of data transfer, while its Windows ASP.NET 2.0 Solutions include Microsoft Windows Servers and back-end systems, managed code and control panel interfaces written in ASP.NET 2.0. To ensure visitors to its customers’ websites receive a fast, reliable service, Gate.com is connected to a robust high-performance network exceeding 2GB/sec and comprising multiple connections to other tier one networks, and multiple levels of physical redundancy. Affinity's engineering and support are based in the United States.
"Web hosting was the first product in Affinity's portfolio, and it's still a very important part of our business; that's why we continue to strive to create solutions based on the most advanced hosting technology at an affordable price," said Jim Collins, President of Affinity Internet. "However, we recognize the need to offer much more than just hosting to satisfy the needs of today's developer, which is why Gate.com also provides a full suite of advanced tools and web services."
