Unlike Chrome, litlOS is focused on creating a new and better web experience for the home, so we don't have the usual browser interface, we have our own innovative UI. In conjunction with easel mode (litl's inverted-V position) and our growing cohort of litl channels (special apps t...

ExaDigm Awarded a $7 Million Order from India's Largest Private Sector Company
ExaDigm to Supply Wireless POS on Linux OS-based XD2000 WiFi Solution

ExaDigm, a leading innovator of wireless and wired point-of-sale (POS) terminal solutions, has announced that India's largest private company and the leading supplier of petroleum products and services in the country has selected ExaDigm to be the exclusive supplier of wireless point-of-sale (POS) terminals.

The $7 million contract awarded to ExaDigm will see the deployment of the XD2000 WiFi solution at petroleum outlets across India. The more than 12,000 terminals will be deployed across all locations operated by the company's petroleum and oil division, allowing customers to make card-based payments at the pump - a first in the country's history.

As one of the largest deployments of wireless POS terminals in India, the XD2000 WiFi solution was chosen because of its robust modular design, high level of terminal-based security, total portability and PC-based platform with a Linux operating system allowing the company to develop and integrate several custom applications. The ability to develop these customized applications easily and in the shortest time possible, using ExaDigm's software development kit (SDK), enabled the company to integrate a range of value-added services in a matter of a month ensuring terminal deployment occurred immediately after shipment.

"We are extremely pleased to have been selected to be an integral part of this major deployment in such a key international market as India and to be working with the country's leading company in the petroleum industry," states Michael Mulcahy, President and COO of ExaDigm. "The awarding of this contract to ExaDigm is a true testament to the innovative design of the XD2000 and its ability to offer the ease of customization it does in order to meet the exacting needs of this project. Being recognized as a technology leader and true innovator in the POS industry by India's largest private company is truly a great honor for ExaDigm."
