Richard Davies wrote: The UK has a good crop of technology pioneers in cloud computing - for example ElasticHosts, FlexiScale, Flexiant, OnApp - and also some strong government initiatives such as G-Cloud. We will have to see whether this kind of technical leadership converts into swift mass-market adoption or not.

In many cases, the end of the year gives you time to step back and take stock of the last 12 months. This is when many of us take a hard look at what worked and what did not, complete performance reviews, and formulate plans for the coming year. For me, it is all of those things plus a time when I u...

Web Host, RegisterFly.com Launches "Create Your Own Pricing" Coupon
Allows Consumers To Create Custom Domain Pricing Based On Their Individual Needs

RegisterFly.com, inc. (a leading provider of domain registration, web-hosting, and related Internet services) announced today the introduction of Instant Coupons, a revolutionary new pricing model that allows consumers to create custom domain pricing based on their individual needs.

All consumers deserve the best overall value. Aside from customer service, domain management tools and easy-to-navigate interface, pricing plays a deciding factor in who they choose as their primary domain name provider.

"RegisterFly.com, inc. firmly believes in creating money saving choices for our customers, with that in mind we have launched our new Instant Coupon product," states Terry Kocek, Vice President of Sales for RegisterFly.com, inc. With Instant Coupons customers can determine the domain price and quantity limit that best suits their need. The dynamic pricing model can scale to an individual customer's requirements/budget. The custom coupon pricing is set in real-time and clients can immediately start registering domain names at the discounted pricing based on the coupon they created."

Depending on the domain name extension, domain names can be purchased for as low as $1.19/ea.

Registerfly's customer service is abominable. If you don't believe me, go to the Better Business Bureau (bbb.com) and search for complaints against Registerfly.com. There are, at last count, about 219 unresolved complaints. These people may offer low rates, but their service is sporadic, unreliable and flawed. Unfortunately I learned too late not to trust them. Several of my domains expired due to their negligence and incompetence in executing my renewal orders (which they were all too happy to charge me for). A simple reply email from them would have solved the problem, but they never answered. I got my money back, but that won't help me retrieve my lost domains. SAVE YOURSELVES. Avoid Registerfly.com!
