OpenStack is becoming the most popular open source platform for building private and public clouds. The number of code commits and the engineering velocity of this project is matched by no other technology adoption in history. Speaker Bio:
Jason Venner is Senior Director of Strategic Advisory Services at Mirantis, an engineering services company delivering open source application infrastructure and OpenStack expertise. He offers guidance and strategic oversight of IaaS implementation projects for government organizations and enterprises. Prior to joining Mirantis, Venner was a senior software architect at eBay/X.Commerce, where he was instrumental in development of X.com platform architecture. He is a hands-on expert in OpenStack Cloud Platform and Hadoop map reduce framework, a big advocate of the open source movement, and a published author of Pro Hadoop, The Expert's Voice in Open Source.
