As China's self-developed navigation satellite system, COMPASS has played a positive role in various aspects of the country's economy and society. According to the statistics of CCID Consulting, the size of China's COMPASS navigation satellite industry reached RMB 8.596 billion in 2011, an increase of 43.2% year-on-year.
