DigiTimes Research figures worldwide tablet shipments will hit 210 million units next year, up 38.3%, pushing past notebooks for the first time. Branded units should account for 140 million units. It expects Google to become the second-largest tablet vendor after Apple with its Nexus widgets. It thinks Google will move 19 million of the things. It gives iPads 55.6% of the global branded market, down from 60% this year and 37.4% of the total market including white-box models.
The white-box market is supposed to make Android the biggest platform, ahead of iOS, with a combined 121 million units counting both branded and white-box gismos, up 40.2% year-over-year. DigiTimes expects global tablet shipments to reach 320 million units in 2015. Reader Feedback: Page 1 of 1
