wassem wrote: Hi Tom I liked your article, you covered all the benefits of the thin client computing. In the article you mentioned the low power benefit, and mentioned the HP computer, as low cost solution, but I think that our product the Cubox that Costs 120$ and needs only 3 Watt of power could be another excellent solution.

In many cases, the end of the year gives you time to step back and take stock of the last 12 months. This is when many of us take a hard look at what worked and what did not, complete performance reviews, and formulate plans for the coming year. Pharmaceutical Clusters Have a Future

KALUGA, Russia, December 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --

On November 21 the town of Obninsk, near Moscow, hosted the 3rd innovation forum PHARMEVOLUTION: Localization of Pharmaceutical Production and Research in Russia - Practice, Trends and Prospects.

The forum brought together representatives from federal agencies, government-run development institutions, the leading world and Russian pharmaceutical companies, centers of innovation, territorial clusters and related associations and institutions of higher learning.

The future of the innovative pharmaceutical industry in Russia was discussed. Among other things the forum focused on the experience of forming territories of innovative development as the basis for systemic research into and production of advanced medications. The need was emphasized for expanding the potential of pharmaceutical clusters through cooperation with major international and Russian pharmaceutical companies, small innovative businesses and research centers. This combination of measures will help address the task of localizing pharmaceutical production in Russia more effectively.

At present the Kaluga pharmaceutical cluster manufactures over 50 medications. Investment in its development has exceeded six billion rubles. Deputy Governor Maxim Shereikin said in the course of the discussion drawing unique specialists into the industry and creating the necessary conditions for training skilled personnel in the region was the main strategic task.

On the sidelines of the forum the non-commercial partnership Kaluga Pharmaceutical Cluster signed a memorandum of cooperation with the innovative cluster Chemical Cluster Bavaria. The signatories believe this will help expand science and business ties between the affiliated businesses. Joint work will also speed up the commercialization of research into systemic pharmaceutical technologies, the use of nanotechnologies in the health service and the recycling and disposal of pharmaceutical production wastes.

Also, a memorandum of intent was signed with the OJSC Rostechnologies-Biotechprom to create in the Kaluga Region a major specialized logistic complex for the pharmaceutical industry. The Kaluga industrial cluster has plans for cooperation with the biotechnological incubator of the M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University with a view to implementing a number of projects and cooperating in education programs for the pharmaceutical industry.

Metacloud plays hardball. It has no patience with pilots or proofs-of-concept. It’ll only do production Infrastructure-as-a-Service installations, which is kind of uppity for a start-up that only hit the radar last October – even if it did come out of the closet with an unidentified ...
