Me having experience dealing with cloud based tech and consulting and integration services, I realize the need for a secure and consistant cloud service. Many people are concerned with the privacy, or lack thereof, that could occur with storing personal documents into a non-physical storage unit. I can see, though with companies such as ours and Metacloud, we are working toward a more secure and easy to use cloud system for both personal and professional use. Spursh Parikh www.sererra.com

In many cases, the end of the year gives you time to step back and take stock of the last 12 months. This is when many of us take a hard look at what worked and what did not, complete performance reviews, and formulate plans for the coming year. Electronic Transactions Association, MCPI Announce Mobile Payments Event at 2013 ETA Annual Meeting and Expo
Mobile Payments Ecosystem to Gather April 30 in New Orleans

WASHINGTON, Dec. 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Electronic Transactions Association (ETA), the trade association of the global electronic payments industry, today announced it is joining with Mobile Contactless Payment Innovations (MCPI) to launch the new Mobile Payment Innovations 2013 conference to be held at the 2013 ETA Annual Meeting and Expo, the nation's leading payments industry event, scheduled in New Orleans on April 30, 2013. Online registration for the ETA Annual Meeting and Expo and Mobile Payment Innovations 2013 event are open today at http://www.electran.org/am13.

"Mobile payments is the next big thing in the field of electronic transactions, and we're excited to work with MCPI to host in-depth discussions on the future of this dynamic industry," said ETA Chief Executive Officer Jason Oxman. "As the trade association of the entire payments industry, ETA is the hub of activity in next-generation payments technology, bringing together card networks, processors, acquirers, ISOs, and mobile and technology companies to do business together. With so many new business opportunities in the payments industry, Mobile Payment Innovations 2013 will be packed with relevant, actionable business intelligence."

The one-day conference coincides with ETA's 2013 Annual Meeting and Expo, being held April 30 through May 2 at the New Orleans Convention Center. The ETA Annual Meeting and Expo is the largest annual tradeshow and conference event in the $3.6 trillion credit and debit payments processing industry. Featuring nearly 200 exhibitors, dozens of conference sessions and more than 3,000 industry executives, the ETA Annual Meeting and Expo is the premiere business and networking opportunity of the year for the payments industry.

Mobile Payment Innovations 2013 will feature interactive discussions and presentations on the business opportunities created in and by the mobile payments industry. Panel participants and keynote speakers from the nation's leading payments and technology companies and merchants will share first-hand lessons on how mobile payments will transform businesses for both solution providers and end users.

"There is much more to mobile payments than the transaction itself," said Dharshan Wanasundera, chairman of MCPI. "Mobile Payment Innovations 2013 will provide a comprehensive examination of the industry, including recent trends in mobile payment processing as well as issues of marketing, data and other factors that drive transactions."

The Mobile Payment Innovations 2013 conference is part of a significant expansion of ETA's 2013 Annual Meeting and Expo that establishes the ETA show as the hub of activity in the innovative mobile payments sector. In addition to Mobile Payment Innovations 2013, the three-day expo will feature the Mobile Pay Zone, a brand-new section of the exhibit floor dedicated to mobile-based businesses, partners, and investors; the Payments Next Zone, another brand-new exhibit pavilion highlighting up and coming companies launching exciting new products, services and ideas; and a meeting of ETA's Mobile Payments Committee, which brings together key representatives of the leading companies in the mobile payments sector to chart the course forward for the vibrant industry.
