PHOENIX, Dec. 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Maldonado Medical, LLC has announced it will donate funds and support at their annual holiday fundraiser, to assist service members who have been injured in the line of duty. All proceeds from the charity event will be donated to the nonprofit organization Wounded Warrior Project (WWP), and will support a range of programs and services for this generation of injured veterans and their families.
Over 47,000 servicemen and women have been injured in the recent military conflicts. In addition to the physical wounds, it is estimated as many as 400,000 service members live with the invisible wounds of war including combat-related stress, major depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Another 32,000 are believed to have experienced a traumatic brain injury while on deployment.
WWP's 18 programs and services are uniquely structured to nurture the mind and body, and encourage economic empowerment and engagement.
Maldonado Medical's annual holiday fundraiser will be held on December 8, 2012 in Phoenix, Arizona. The party will host a plethora of friends, family, and professionals from across the United States coming together to show their support for WWP.
"These men and women have made incredible sacrifices to defend this country and protect our freedom. It is important to us, especially during the holiday season, to show appreciation and support for their service and also acknowledge the after effects of that service and help in any way that we can," says Brandon Maldonado, President of Maldonado Medical.
