Similar is the case with managed multi Cloud hosting. You can very well understand how a big burden it would be to manage multi cloud servers for organization; this is why a service known as managed multi Cloud is provided to these users. This service ensures them the seam less running of their system administrative operations while organizations focus more on t...

In many cases, the end of the year gives you time to step back and take stock of the last 12 months. This is when many of us take a hard look at what worked and what did not, complete performance reviews, and formulate plans for the coming year. For me, it is all of those things plus a time when I u...

Fraport Traffic Figures - November 2012: Airfreight Grows for the First Time This Year - Passenger Traffic Declines

FRANKFURT, Germany, December 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --

In November 2012, Fraport AG welcomed about 4.2 million passengers at its Frankfurt Airport (FRA) home base - down 2.7 percent compared to the same month last year.  With the start of the Winter Timetable 2012/2013, the airlines implemented a wave of consolidation initiatives because they have been hit hard by the difficult economic situation in many European countries, turbulent dynamics of the global economy, and the burden of national aviation taxes.  The reduction in flight destinations and frequencies by the airlines resulted in the passenger decline during the reporting month.

Looking at the year overall, passenger traffic development remains unchanged:  From January to November 2012 some 53.5 million passengers used Germany's largest aviation hub - an increase of 2.6 percent compared to the same 11-month period in 2011.

Handling almost 190,000 metric tons in November 2012, FRA recorded growth in cargo throughput for the first time this year - up 2.1 percent year-on-year.  Aircraft movements dropped by 4.6 percent to about 38,000 takeoffs and landings.  The accumulated maximum takeoff weights (MTOW) dropped by 3.7 percent to about 2.3 million metric tons.

Fraport's five majority-owned (consolidated) airports - Frankfurt Airport (FRA), Antalya (AYT), Burgas (BOJ), Varna (VAR) and Lima (LIM) - together served almost 6.4 million passengers in the reporting month, a modest increase of 1.0 percent.  With more than 1.1 million passengers in the reporting month, Peru's Lima Airport continued to record particularly robust passenger growth in November 2012.  AYT on the Turkish Riviera registered more than one million passengers in November 2012, a gain over the same period last year. Fraport's two airports on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, BOJ and VAR, together received about 33,700 passengers in November 2012.
