Acting Under Secretary of the Air Force Opens AFA's 2013 Air Force Breakfast Series

ARLINGTON, Va., Jan. 8, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Air Force Association is pleased to announce Dr. Jamie Morin, Acting Under Secretary of the Air Force, as the guest speaker for the January session of AFA's 2013 Air Force Breakfast Program. This event will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., at the Key Bridge Marriott in Arlington, Virginia. As Acting Under Secretary of the Air Force, Dr. Morin is responsible for Department of the Air Force affairs on behalf of the Secretary of the Air Force, including the organizing, training, equipping and providing for the welfare of its more than 333,000 active duty men and women, 178,000 Air National Guard and the Air Force Reserve members, 182,000 civilians, and their families. He also oversees the Air Force's annual budget of more than $110 billion and serves as acting Secretary of the Air Force in the Secretary's absence. Dr. Morin simultaneously serves as the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Financial Management and Comptroller. Previously, Dr. Morin was a member of the professional staff of the U.S. Senate Committee on the Budget, where he served as the committee's lead analyst for the defense, intelligence, and foreign affairs budgets. The Air Force Breakfast Program is a monthly series that provides a venue for senior Air Force and Department of Defense leaders to communicate directly with the public and the press.
