Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction Set to Break World Records
The World's Greatest Collector Car Auctions(TM) Announces Largest Event in Its 42-Year History

SCOTTSDALE, AZ -- (Marketwire) -- 01/14/13 -- Barrett-Jackson, The World's Greatest Collector Car Auctions™, announced today that the company's flagship Scottsdale auction, taking place January 13-20, 2013 at WestWorld of Scottsdale, will be the largest event in the company's 42-year history. Nearly 1,400 classics, exotics, muscle cars, Hot Rods, Resto-Mods and contemporary collectibles are expected to cross the auction block, setting a new world record for the largest offering of No Reserve vehicles at one auction.

Barrett-Jackson's 2013 Scottsdale event will also set another company record for the largest offering of Shelby vehicles at one auction, with over 40 Shelby automobiles set to be sold ranging from a stellar 1965 GT350 (LOT #5023) previously owned by Ford, to a 2012 GT500 50th Anniversary Super Snake (LOT #1321) to the rarest Shelby Mustang in existence, "The Green Hornet" (LOT #5022). Collectors from all over the world will have the chance to bid on these legendary vehicles. The company will also pay tribute to Carroll Shelby, one of the world's greatest automotive icons, during the weeklong event.

Adding to the volume of the Scottsdale auction, the 2013 event will also see the return of the company's impressive 5000 Series, which features over 50 of the world's most desirable, unique and valuable automobiles. The 5000 Series also includes the company's famed Salon Collection, hand-selected vehicles that showcase the very best in automotive design and style. The Salon Collection features the rare muscle car favorite, the 1971 Plymouth HEMI 'Cuda Convertible (LOT #5025), Clark Gable's 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing Coupe (LOT #5001) and the 1966 Original #1 Batmobile (LOT #5037), created by renowned customizer, George Barris, among other high caliber vehicles. These and other prestigious vehicles will sell on Saturday, January 19th beginning at approximately 5:00pm.

"At Scottsdale we try to bring together the very best in car collecting for our bidders, and the 2013 Scottsdale auction is a perfect example of that," said Craig Jackson, Chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson. "Whether you're a Shelby fan or classic die-hard, this is the most impressive group of vehicles we've ever offered at one auction in the 42 years of Barrett-Jackson. We look forward to sharing this experience with our consigners, bidders and fans."

The 2013 Scottsdale auction also marks the expansion of the number of car tents plus the exhibitor pavilion, which will feature more vendors and sponsors than ever before at a Barrett-Jackson event. Auto enthusiasts will have the opportunity to shop for unique items to enhance their automotive lifestyles, while enjoying live music, cocktails, incredible cuisine and various demonstrations. The company is also on track to surpass the $50 million mark for charitable giving, as 21 vehicles are set to take the stage in Scottsdale, with proceeds benefiting various organizations across the country.

"Nothing beats the excitement of watching beautiful cars cross the auction block, but we've taken it to a whole new level at this year's event," said Steve Davis, President of Barrett-Jackson. "Our fans and bidders deserve the best and I'm looking forward to experiencing this event along with them."
