In the article you mentioned the low power benefit, and mentioned the HP computer, as low cost solution, but I think that our product the Cubox that Costs 120$ and needs only 3 Watt of power could be another excellent solution.

In many cases, the end of the year gives you time to step back and take stock of the last 12 months. Ivera Medical, Inc. Awarded HealthTrust Contract for Curos Disinfecting Port Protectors

SAN DIEGO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 01/23/13 -- Ivera Medical Corporation, a leading medical device innovator, announced that it has been selected by HealthTrust as a provider of disinfecting caps for I.V. needleless connectors.

The agreement, effective February 2, 2013, will give HealthTrust member facilities -- 1,400 not-for-profit and for-profit acute care facilities, as well as 10,600 ambulatory and alternate care sites -- access to efficacious passive disinfection technology designed to act against the organisms associated with catheter-related bloodstream infections.

The Curos® Port Protector from Ivera is a passive disinfection cap which disinfects and then guards luer activated swabbable valves against contamination between venous accesses. Inside the cap, a 70% IPA (isopropyl alcohol) saturated sponge continually bathes the port to kill the organisms associated with catheter-related bloodstream infections. Effective use requires only that caregivers peel off a foil seal and twist the cap onto any needleless connector. The vibrant green cap assures high visibility compliance with hospital infection control protocols while its design minimizes potential alcohol spillage and packaging waste.

"Ivera is very pleased to have been chosen for this contract award. HealthTrust and Ivera share patient safety values by providing innovative solutions designed to address a common source of patient bloodstream infections and contaminated blood cultures and in doing so reducing overall healthcare costs," said Bob Rogers, chief executive officer of Ivera.

About Ivera Medical
Ivera Medical Corporation is focused on the design, development, manufacture, marketing and sale of products that help healthcare providers reduce hospital-acquired blood infections. Curos, manufactured in Carlsbad, Calif., is the first disinfecting cap to be marketed in the U.S. and has received FDA's 510(k) market clearance.
