Me having experience dealing with cloud based tech and consulting and integration services, I realize the need for a secure and consistant cloud service. Many people are concerned with the privacy, or lack thereof, that could occur with storing personal documents into a non-physical storage unit. I can see, though with companies such as ours and Metacloud, we are working toward a more secure and easy to use cloud system for both personal and professional use. Spursh Parikh www.sererra.com

In many cases, the end of the year gives you time to step back and take stock of the last 12 months. This is when many of us take a hard look at what worked and what did not, complete performance reviews, and formulate plans for the coming year. For me, it is all of those things plus a time when I u...

Sales of Actix RAN Analytics and Optimization platform increase by 30%

Actix has announced record orders for its RAN analytics and optimization platform, known as ActixOne, for the fiscal year that ended on January 31st, 2013. Global demand for the company's Customer Experience Analytics (CEA) solution was the basis for the strong performance.

“In the last year we’ve added new customers in Europe, The Middle East, Asia Pacific and the Americas, cementing Actix as one of the few truly global analytics and optimization companies. We’ve entered our new fiscal year, starting Feb 1st, with a record backlog of ActixOne orders and expect a strong performance in 2013," said Bill McHale, CEO at Actix.

Actix has taken an innovative approach by integrating the in-depth views of a customer's experience in the RAN with optimization use cases, so RAN engineers can improve the performance of the network in a variety of ways. Geo-locating individual or groups of customers down to street level, provides intelligence that enables the engineers to take action in the most obvious places—where their best customers are unhappy.

McHale continued, "A very recent contract for over $3M for our integrated CEA and Optimization solution from a mid-sized operator is indicative of the benefits our approach has to offer mobile network operators. Additionally, Huawei has selected our Customer Experience Analytics solution to be integrated into their SmartCare SEQ solution as part of an OEM contract.”

“Understanding customer experience across 2G, 3G & LTE networks is critical to the success of operators’ optimization, HetNet planning and monetization efforts,” said Richard Kateley, Actix CTO. “At Mobile World Congress we’ll be demonstrating our new advanced Customer Experience Analytics that will enable operators to optimize their network for new revenues.”

Actix also announced it will release its first annual “State of the RAN” report, built using real customer data obtained from CEA’s in depth analytics. The study will look at how people, places and devices are shaping the customers experience and the RAN.
