Me having experience dealing with cloud based tech and consulting and integration services, I realize the need for a secure and consistant cloud service. Many people are concerned with the privacy, or lack thereof, that could occur with storing personal documents into a non-physical storage unit. I can see, though with companies such as ours and Metacloud, we are working toward a more secure and easy to use cloud system for both personal and professional use. Spursh Parikh www.sererra.com

In many cases, the end of the year gives you time to step back and take stock of the last 12 months. Global Incentive Council Offers Global Provider Selection Advice

NAPERVILLE, Ill., Feb. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- With nearly two-thirds of employees working abroad and a growing need for employee incentives that work in a variety of cultures and countries, the Global Incentive Council (GIC) of the Incentive Marketing Association (IMA) has put its best suggestions for finding help with global employee incentives into a new paper entitled, Recognition & Incentives in the Global Marketplace: Selecting the Right Provider.

"The global incentive marketplace is changing so rapidly due to emerging technology that we thought it important to try to establish some actionable benchmarks that would help companies select the provider that best suits their particular needs for awards around the globe," said Ashley Fina, GIC member and president of Michael C. Fina's Recognition Division. "Too often, we have found that many U.S.-based companies think they can simply extend existing domestic recognition programs to their employees in other countries without considering issues like cultural differences, local delivery capability, fees, taxes, and the provider's international experience," she continued.

Fina explained that the paper begins with the premise that different countries and providers have very different ways of doing things, then goes on to explore the current state of the industry on an international basis and discuss important considerations such as provider types and critical program elements like customer service and fulfillment capabilities.

"Our goal is to remind companies of the items that they need to consider when selecting a global provider and to equip them with a list of questions and recommendations that they can adapt to their particular situation," Fina concluded.
