"Customers tell us that they are increasingly realizing the value and critical role our application infrastructure products play in transforming their businesses," explained BEA's senior vice president and CMO, Marge Breya (pictured), as it was announced that BEA was positioned in the leaders quadrant in the Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Application Servers (EAS) in Gartner's 2Q06 report.
According to Gartner, Leaders "are performing well today, have a clear vision of market direction and are actively building competencies to sustain their leadership position in the market." The Gartner research note, titled "Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Application Servers, 2Q06," is authored by Yefim V. Natis, Massimo Pezzini, Kimihiko Iijima and Michael Barnes.
"We believe this recognition is confirmation of BEA's ability to continuously evolve and innovate on our core technology," Breya added.
"We feel it also demonstrates our ability to execute within the application infrastructure market," she continued. "We believe BEA's early adoption of SOA is among the reasons for this success."
In June of this year, BEA was recognized as a tier one vendor in Gartner's overall application and integration middleware market report based upon total software revenue in 2005. The company also seized the top spot in the application servers segment. The Gartner research note, titled "Market Share: AIM and Portal Software, Worldwide 2005," authored by Joanne Correia and Fabrizio Biscotti was published June 9, 2006.
