Telerik, an end-to-end provider of development tools and solutions for building cross-platform and mobile applications, has announced the latest evolution of Telerik DevCraft, a toolset for professional .NET developers. With this release, Telerik sets the standard for .NET mobile application development with advancements in touch-friendly controls, data synchronization and cloud mobile back-end services. The company also outpaces the competition with key feature enhancements to its already robust Windows 8 and Windows Phone controls.
According to recent research by analyst firm Canalys, Microsoft’s market share for mobile adoption is forecasted to grow from 2.4 percent in 2012 to 12.7 percent in 2017. As the first and only vendor to offer the richest toolset for both XAML and HTML, built from the ground up, Telerik is breaking new ground by providing .NET and HTML5 developers with an array of tools to deliver modern, clean mobile applications, including Calendar, Image and Tile controls. The company is also making key advancements across its entire portfolio to ensure customers are armed with the tools, services and support necessary to maximize their development efforts, at every turn.
“As mobile overtakes traditional PC computing, developers are focusing their efforts on this highly competitive market. They don’t have the luxury of unlimited time or endless resources to get their apps up and running, so they’re turning to Telerik for help. We have always been the first stop for .NET developers because we provide up-to-date tools, ahead of the competition, all backed by the most comprehensive support available. With the Q2 2013 release, we’re continuing our tradition of cutting edge innovation by bringing together the core elements necessary for mobile success – touch, cloud-enablement and more, to streamline the development process and provide value-add to our customers,” said Chris Sells, Vice President, DevTools division, Telerik.
Mobile Cloud Back-End Services
“Telerik has always provided the best tools, service and support available. The company keeps up with what’s hot in the industry and is the first to market with what we need to be successful. Mobile and touch are huge right now and the fact that Telerik already has tools, built from the ground up, to support our efforts is why I keep coming back time and again. Telerik truly sets the standard for everyone else in the industry,” said Atley Hunter of CodeCreators.
Additional features new to the Q2 2013 DevCraft release include 10 new controls and more than 250 new features across all six UI control suites. The new features, including TileList for AJAX, Calendar, Data Storage and more for Windows 8, as well as offline Cloud Data Synchronization for Windows Phone, allow developers to cover more scenarios out of the box. The newly introduced graph interactivity support in Telerik Reporting helps developers create even more interactive reports. While JustCode’s new integration with JustDecompile allows developers to debug third-party libraries without having the source code available.
