Open Source Firms Optaros And Pentaho Announce Strategic Partnership
Optaros Enhances Next Generation Internet Practice With Pentaho's Business Intelligence Suite

Optaros, an open source software consulting and integration firm announced a strategic partnership with Pentaho, provider of open source business intelligence (BI) software. The alliance enables Optaros to integrate Pentaho’s enhanced analysis capabilities with its enterprise-class next generation internet (NGI) applications, providing companies with a complete set of tools for achieving their business goals.

“This partnership is about helping customers enhance their overall business proposition,” said Dave Henry, vice president of business development at Pentaho. “The combination of Pentaho’s BI technology and Optaros’ open source expertise will enable organizations to experience enhanced NGI applications with reporting and analysis, bringing the value of BI directly into key operational applications.”

Pentaho provides a robust open source BI suite designed to integrate BI with business processes, ultimately linking key performance metrics with the processes that drive them. The company provides a complete BI suite including reporting, analysis, dashboards, data mining and data integration. With a large user base, Pentaho has developed a vibrant open source community that is fully aligned with the interactive nature of NGI.

“Our partnership with Pentaho allows Optaros to add a valuable component to NGI applications, one which our customers have identified as a critical element to their ultimate success,” said Brian Otis, vice president of sales at Optaros. “In incorporating BI analysis and reporting to NGI applications, organizations now will have a complete view of the business value of engaging and interacting with customers.”

Optaros provides enterprises with assembled NGI solutions that maximize the benefits of open source software and deliver on the relevant business benefits. Optaros leverages its knowledge of open source components and its application assembly methodology, OptAM, to assemble NGI solutions that solve specific business problems in a “best-fit” solution approach.
