AppZero is a fast, flexible way to move server applications to and across a cloud or datacenter, without code change or lock-in. Encapsulating Windows applications in VM/OS-free containers. AppZero's patented software moves complex Windows Server applications with ease, allowing you to move from an old OS to a newer one, with the click of a button.
As Windows Server 2003 fast approaches end of support (EOS), the ability to move to a newer version of the operating system (Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2) becomes critical. AppZero enables customers to modernize and move to Microsoft Azure in one step. A published AppZero survey of Fortune 1,000 companies revealed that 75 percent of respondents wish to, or are considering, move to the cloud as part of their EOS remediation efforts.
"Having AppZero available in the Azure Marketplace enables businesses to easily adopt Azure as the landing pad for their applications," said Greg O'Connor, AppZero CEO. "Whether the goal is to upgrade applications off Windows Server 2003 or to move applications to Azure, purchasing Azure VMs with AppZero preinstalled, from the Azure Marketplace, makes the process even easier."
"By achieving Microsoft Azure Certified status, AppZero now works more closely with Azure and can be easily purchased and deployed from the Azure Marketplace," said Kim Akers, General Manager, Microsoft. "It provides a high-quality experience for customers who want to migrate their applications onto Azure."
