(January 29, 2003) - Softel vdm, Inc. has released a major new version of its Masked Edit control SftMask/ATL. This ActiveX control offers significant data input and validation features and is now also fully supported with Visual Studio.NET and all .NET languages, in addition to Visual Basic, Visual C++, Delphi, C++Builder, and other languages. Of particular interest to Visual Studio.NET programmers is the new help integration, which seamlessly integrates the complete product documentation into the Visual Studio.NET help collection. New syntax filtering capabilities of the online documentation allow the programmer to choose which language should be documented, so only relevant information is presented to the programmer. A new QuickSetup feature provides access to predefined Masked Edit controls, such as date fields, currency fields, ZIP code fields, IP address fields, and many more. The control also offers an autocomplete mode, optional spin buttons, a minimum/maximum range and even a handy popup calculator. Date fields support an easily accessible drop-down calendar. SftMask/ATL also offers automatic drag & drop support, and using ActiveX Data Objects (ADO), the control can even be used in data-bound mode. SftMask/ATL supports all product features on Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, XP and .NET Server 2003. For more information, visit www.softelvdm.com. Reader Feedback: Page 1 of 1
