InstallShield Adds Smart Device Support

(April 11, 2003) - As a part of Service Pack 1 for their InstallShield Developer product ( www.installshield.com/isd/info/smart.asp?source), InstallShield Corporation has recently added support to their products for installing .NET Compact Framework applications. These installers can either be built separately or directly from your Visual Studio .NET Smart Device projects. The product currently supports three models for installation:

1)       CAB files
2)       Desktop ActiveSync-enabled installation
3)       Flash ROM support

In a future update, they plan on adding support for live installations over a network connection.
