Thus spake Martin Fink, HP's vice president of Linux, in an interview on the eve of LinuxWorld Conference & Expo in New York this week. He was referring to HP's record $2.5 billion revenue from Linux products and services in 2003.
Fink had other infopoints: HP's Linux services portfolio broadened to include Linux on notebooks and desktops; the company has been collaborating with the Linux Terminal Server Project (LTSP) team and DisklessWorkstations.com to market thin clients; and both its HP Compaq business desktop D530 and D330 PCs have been certified with SuSE Enterprise Linux.
Several models from its business notebook line have been certified on SuSE Linux Desktop too, including the HP Compaq nc6000, nc8000 and nw8000.
