(February 19, 2003) - The beta version of ZeoSphere XR, a mobile infrastructure software suite with On Demand Mobile Server technology, is now available from Zeosoft. New in ZeoSphere XR is XML/RPC for distributed computing, and support for the Oracle9i Lite database. With ZeoSphere XR, businesses can develop, deploy, and manage enterprise applications over networks of mobile devices, forming secure On Demand Mobile Server Networks. ZeoSphere XR also provides for easy integration with distributed Web applications. The GA release of ZeoSphere XR, in Q2 this year, will also include support for J2ME. Through a recently signed cooperative agreement with IBM, the production release of this product is planned to leverage IBM's J9 JVM technology. ZeoSphere XR Beta includes the ZeoSphere XR mobile application server, as well as developer and administrative toolsets that are compatible with PersonalJava and J2SE.
