In many cases, the end of the year gives you time to step back and take stock of the last 12 months. This is when many of us take a hard look at what worked and what did not, complete performance reviews, and formulate plans for the coming year. For me, it is all of those things plus a time when I u...

Brain+Trust Partners Launches DealerAlchemy
New Venture Aims To Transform Automotive Retail

AUSTIN, Texas, Dec. 7, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Brain+Trust Partners, a strategic digital transformation consultancy, today announced the launch of a new venture, DealerAlchemy, specifically aimed at transforming the automotive retail industry. Working with industry leaders and progressive dealership executives like Brian Benstock, DealerAlchemy will use strategic systems integration, predictive intelligence, and new operational models to provide more frictionless operations for automotive dealers — while delivering more frictionless experiences for dealership customers.

"We are excited about this new venture with DealerAlchemy, and the opportunity to work with forward-thinking dealers to further excel today and be prepared for the future," said Scott Monty, founding partner and CEO of Brain+Trust Partners. "DealerAlchemy clients will be empowered to better compete in a volatile and changing market of consumer behavior and vehicle ownership."

Consumer desires and expectations have drastically shifted in recent years due to the rise of smartphone use and the emergence of on-demand services from Amazon, Google, Netflix, and Airbnb, with simple, convenient, one-click transactions now the standard. Yet the automotive retail industry has largely not kept pace with these shifting expectations — and as advancements with electric and, connected vehicles, ride-sharing and subscription services begin to change how vehicles are used, serviced, and owned, such inertia can be an inhibitor to growth and readiness for the future. "The dealership model as we know it is broken," said Benstock at the DealerAlchemy launch reception. "We've perfected a model that is no longer relevant to the customers we need to reach."

To effect the changes necessary for dealerships to compete with both traditional and new automotive retail players, DealerAlchemy will focus on three phases of transformation for its clients:

  1. Optimizing Service.  DealerAlchemy will work with dealerships to identify opportunities for vehicle service efficiency and 100% fixed absorption — integrating multiple technology platforms that allow customers never to have to step foot into the dealership.
  2. Optimizing the Conquest. DealerAlchemy provides dealers with predictive intelligence and highly accurate marketing systems that increase sales margins and lower operating costs.
  3. Futurizing Your Operation. In a world of changing models, DealerAlchemy works with dealerships to ensure they own the customer relationship. As vehicle "ownership" is redefined with subscription and sharing models, and electric vehicles further impact the way vehicles are used and managed, dealerships can prepare for a market in which owning the customer relationships is of greater importance than selling the product.

DealerAlchemy will operate as a Texas LLC out of Austin, Texas.
