Intraspect Collaboration Solution for BEA WebLogic Portal

(July 22, 2003) - Intraspect Software, Inc., has introduced the Intraspect Collaboration Solution for BEA WebLogic Portal 8.1, in conjunction with the launch of WebLogic Portal 8.1 and WebLogic Platform 8.1. The joint solution allows organizations to augment their BEA-based corporate portals with a full suite of collaboration and knowledge management capabilities, providing an easy-to-use and cost effective solution to enhance the value of corporate portals. WebLogic Portal is a unified enterprise portal framework that can simplify the production and management of portals across the enterprise. Intraspect improves productivity and efficiency by providing Web-based workspaces, collaboration tools, corporate knowledge, and content management capabilities to employees and third parties. Brought together as a single solution with the Intraspect Collaboration Solution for BEA WebLogic Portal, the two technologies can allow users to create contextual communities within the BEA corporate portal that manage collaboration and knowledge around products, services, functions, expertise, customers, or other areas relevant to an organization. Intraspect's Portal Collaboration Solution for BEA WebLogic Portal 8.1 will be available in August 2003.
