In many cases, the end of the year gives you time to step back and take stock of the last 12 months. This is when many of us take a hard look at what worked and what did not, complete performance reviews, and formulate plans for the coming year. For me, it is all of those things plus a time when I u...

BOISE, Idaho, Jan. 11, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- KidCheck, providers of secure children's check-in software, is leading a workshop entitled "Volunteer Policies for the Modern Kidmin" at the Children's Pastors Conference, hosted by the International Network of Children's Ministry (INCM). The Children's Pastors Conference takes place January 15-17, 2019 in Orlando, Florida.

The conference is a national event designed for the global kidmin community to gather for learning, inspiration, relationship building and renewal. It provides a powerful training and learning experience with networking opportunities, inspiring speakers, a multitude of workshops, and access to many tools and resources.

KidCheck child safety expert Angela Lewton will be leading the session. The workshop discusses why screening and volunteer policies are integral to the overall safety plan, what effective guidelines look like, and how to implement a comprehensive candidate screening process, with in-depth information shared on each of the key steps involved.

"All organizations caring for children need to make child safety a priority and ensure the proper screening process and policies are in place for any individual interacting with children," said Lewton. "This is vital to protect all involved: the children, the volunteer, and the organization itself."

"Partnering with INCM at the Children's Pastors Conference is always an honor," continued Lewton. "Their focus on educating the community about topics such as child safety and security continues to make a positive impact."
