Richard Davies wrote: The UK has a good crop of technology pioneers in cloud computing - for example ElasticHosts, FlexiScale, Flexiant, OnApp - and also some strong government initiatives such as G-Cloud. We will have to see whether this kind of technical leadership converts into swift mass-market adoption or not.

In many cases, the end of the year gives you time to step back and take stock of the last 12 months. This is when many of us take a hard look at what worked and what did not, complete performance reviews, and formulate plans for the coming year. For me, it is all of those things plus a time when I u...

Also, y'all signed me up for Dr. Dobbs magazine...
I wonder why they would do that, it's a different publisher, we don't publish Dr. Dobbs

I started subscribing to Linux World magazine at a time when you were running a promo offering a second magazine for free - and I didn't select another one because none of the others were of interest to me - they were mostly for programmers and developers, IIRC, and I am neither - in fact, I don't even work for a Linux organization, we're a Microsoft house. I'm simply a Linux user at home. We don't even have anyone here I can pass Dr. Dobbs on to.
We will see if we can find a contact info for you to stop receiving Dr. Dobbs

Could you please stop subscribing me to that?  I promise not to complain I was ripped off.  ;)  No need to destroy more trees for me!

I wonder if this is related to CMP Media announcing on Wednesday that Michael Goodman is the new publisher of DDJ and the departure of Tim Trickett to "pursue new opportunities" after seventeen years with the company?
