LONDON, November 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Buongiorno S.p.A. (MTAX STAR, Italian Stock Exchange: BNG) - a leading multinational in digital entertainment, and Times Media recently announced the launch of Times Mobile, a new mobile service allowing readers to access news from The Times, Sunday Times and Times Online. Times Mobile will feature breaking news, full business and sports coverage, arts, entertainment news, reviews, real-time football scores and classified job advertisements. The technology behind the product, which is provided by Buongiorno, is intended to give users 'a high quality and fast browsing experience'. Times mobile provides Times content in a format that suits small screens and it has been optimized for various different types of mobile handsets, especially the BlackBerry and the iPhone. Buongiorno technology allows the Times Online editorial team to create content directly for the mobile without having to manage a completely different publication platform, via specific feeds and integration with The Times technology platform. "We are extremely proud to be the technology partner of Times Media for their mobile version of Times Online. This deal enlarges our current media deals portfolio which, also thanks to the recent iTouch acquisition, can count on global deals with media giants such as EsMas-Televisa in Mexico, South America and US, Telecinco and La Sexta in Spain and India Times in India," affirms Andrea Casalini, Chief Executive Officer of Buongiorno. "Times Mobile ensures that current and new customers will now be able to access our content on the move quickly and easily. Equally, it will give our advertisers another route to our valuable audiences," comments Zach Leonard, Times digital media publisher. The Times research found that classic mobile users are professional people interested in quick updates while on the move. But there is also a 'killing time' aspect to mobile news consumption. Buongiorno and Times Media's next steps will be the integration of a dedicated ad server to allow both display and classified advertising, enabling advertisers to buy complete packages relying on ready-made landing pages specifically designed for mobile.
