DreamFace Interactive, a member of the OpenAjax Alliance, provides a new way for Web-savvy business people to create, control, and share their own Web applications, through a concept called WebChannels, which makes it possible to create applications designed for change.
Although Build#102 was recently released, DreamFace received many useful enhancement requests that were implemented straightaway. The result is Build#103, a new version that will provide, among other things, a multi-rows layout for screens, footer, left and right margins, role-based definitions (in addition to the current role-based header definition), a "guest" role privilege (without personalization options), a data source provider for SQL databases, and an XForm DataView (widget) template.
Their goal is to promote the DIY (Do IT Yourself) notion coupled with the Web 2.0 fast-growing phenomenon and encourage users to be a real actor in the definition, creation and publication of interactive and intuitive new generation of applications, where the Internet, the intranet, or both are the core platform.
DreamFace products are available under the "dual licensing" model – users may choose to use DreamFace under the open source License (Mozilla Public License Version 1.1) known as the "Community Edition" or under a commercial license known as the "Enterprise Edition". ISVs and Resellers, who are embedding and reselling DreamFace as part of their own commercial solutions, can become a DreamFace affiliate.
