Argus Plays Key Role in Together Rx Access Prescription Savings Program

KANSAS CITY, Mo., March 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Argus Health Systems, Inc., a leading provider of pharmaceutical program services, announced its role in the Together Rx Access prescription savings program. Launched earlier this year by 10 leading companies, the Card is free and available to Americans who have no public or private coverage for prescription products, who are not eligible for Medicare, who meet certain income eligibility requirements and are legal U.S. residents.

Argus plays a key role in the Together Rx Access prescription savings program and provides the delivery channel through a national network of retail pharmacies. The company also supports the program by providing financial management systems, pharmacy claims administration services, as well as the data capture necessary to enable effective administration, accountability and analysis. The Argus system is available for pharmacies to submit claims 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

"Argus is deeply proud to be partnering in this effort, bringing a 'best of breed' team to serve a deep need among the uninsured for prescription products," said Charlie Schellhorn, president and CEO of Argus Health Systems, Inc.

An estimated 36 million people may be eligible for this Card. Together Rx Access Card enrollment numbers are expected to grow rapidly as Website visitors or callers enroll for the free prescription savings program that offers anticipated savings of about 25 to 40 percent on approximately 275 FDA- approved, brand-name prescription products. Savings are also available on a wide range of generic products.

More information about the Together Rx Access Card can be found on the Web at http://www.togetherrxaccess.com/ or by calling 1-800-444-4106.

The Together Rx Access, L.L.C. includes Abbott Laboratories, AstraZeneca, Bristol-Myers Squibb, GlaxoSmithKline, members of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies(1), Novartis, Pfizer, sanofi-aventis Group(2), Takeda, and TAP Pharmaceutical Products Inc
