Richard Davies wrote: The UK has a good crop of technology pioneers in cloud computing - for example ElasticHosts, FlexiScale, Flexiant, OnApp - and also some strong government initiatives such as G-Cloud. We will have to see whether this kind of technical leadership converts into swift mass-market adoption or not.

In many cases, the end of the year gives you time to step back and take stock of the last 12 months. Power Sentry Ships PowerSquid(TM) Power Multiplier to Give Users a Flexible and Affordable Alternative to Traditional Power Strips
Multi-Arm Design Lets Do-It-Yourselfers and Contractors Move and Use Tools with Increased Ease and Pliability

PLYMOUTH, Minn., April 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Power Sentry, a developer and marketer of surge suppressors and multiple outlet devices; contractor and UPS products, has announced the availability of its newest product, the PowerSquid(TM) power multiplier. This uniquely designed alternative to a rigid, straight-line power strip offers multiple outlets that easily and flexibly convert one grounded outlet into five grounded, adapter ready outlets.

"The unique and innovative styling of the PowerSquid aims to meet the needs of the do-it-yourself home user or light contractor," said Kris Lichtscheidl, Manager, Category Marketing at Power Sentry. "We wanted to create a power multiplier that provides more flexibility than a standard rigid and straight power strip. Especially in a workshop environment, users often need to move power tools in the opposite direction from the outlet source -- and with PowerSquid they can do what they need to do and not worry about it."

The flexible arms of the PowerSquid, which have varying lengths of six, eight and ten inches, allow each outlet to be readily positioned for convenient use. The contemporary design of the PowerSquid features a black hub and yellow receptacles. The unit also incorporates a yellow lighted master on/off switch which indicates that the unit is operational. A built-in 15-Amp circuit breaker adds safety for attached equipment, while a four-foot 14/3 power cord provides additional flexibility of movement for users.

The PowerSquid, which will be available through a network of nationwide retailers, has a suggested retail price of $14.99. This product is part of the Power Sentry Contractor Series of products, which consists of durable surge protection, cord management, and multiple outlet products that are tough enough to withstand the physical abuse brought on by workshop, job site and industrial usage. The PowerSquid carries Power Sentry's lifetime Tested Tough warranty.
