ANSYS Chosen as Engineering Simulation Solution at Shanghai Supercomputer Center
ANSYS' superior technology and high-quality service solidify deal

SOUTHPOINTE, Pa., April 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ANSYS, Inc. , a global innovator of simulation software and technologies designed to optimize product development processes, today announced that Shanghai Supercomputer Center (SSC), an organization serving as a catalyst for technology innovation, has selected ANSYS(R) as its engineering simulation solution of choice.

ANSYS China won the final bidding for the first phase of the software procurement project and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for additional opportunities.

SSC has supreme parallel computing capacity of 2400+ CPU, and runs CAE/CFD software to offer the state-of-the-art facilities to the public. SSC is set to be the pioneer and model for the other supercomputer centers to be established countrywide. Funded by the central and provincial governments, some supercomputing centers are under planning or development through 2008.
