Leverages Cloud Computing for New Levels of Productivity: Delivers Integration with Google Apps
Aug. 4, 2008 01:15 PM
SuccessFactors announced the delivery of five new capabilities integrated with the Google Apps suite of communication and collaboration products and other tools. The integration of SuccessFactors Performance and Talent Management suite with the products from Google enables companies of any and all sizes to reap the benefits of cloud computing (no hardware or software to download, install or maintain), and extends SuccessFactors’ mission to help companies better manage, motivate and engage their people to drive better business results.
“SuccessFactors is thrilled to work with Google to bring powerful, useful features to delight users around the world. Integrations for communication, maps, document sharing, career development exploration and calendaring continue our pursuit of redefining the human capital management suite,” said Lars Dalgaard, president and chief executive officer for SuccessFactors. “Making technology easy to use and more approachable is the goal and cloud computing helps make it happen. Sharing an open architecture approach with Google creates limitless opportunities for knowledge workers, and begins to explain our excitement for these integrations. We’re pleased to support the usability, familiarity and daily productivity our solutions provide in optimizing global workforce productivity.”
“People shouldn't have to switch applications, or even browser tabs, to find information and collaborate with their colleagues,” said Bill Rossi, Director Marketing Enterprise, Google. “This Google Apps integration makes SuccessFactors customers more productive in one place, and is a compelling example of the possibilities of cloud computing.”
Google Integrations for SuccessFactors
SuccessFactors designed, developed and integrated the following five solutions with Google products. The first three are with Google Apps and the other two are integrations with other Google products. The integrations include:
- SuccessFactors and Google Talk – to instantly communicate with a manager, members of a team, or others to discuss specific goals, performance reviews, and development/project plans
- SuccessFactors and Google Calendar – to keep track of key events, deadlines against a goal plan, or key dates in the performance review process
- SuccessFactors and Google Docs – for sharing knowledge and promoting collaboration by posting relevant, recommended documents, spreadsheets, and presentations from the SuccessFactors system, making them available to the internal and external audiences through Google Docs
- SuccessFactors and Google Book Search – gives employees the tools to control their career development by providing clear visibility into the competencies they need to work on to prepare for future roles, along with relevant, suggested reading through Google Book Search
- SuccessFactors and Google Maps – helps understand where individuals and teams are located, and to coordinate activities and make informed decisions on deploying talent
SuccessFactors Performance and Talent Management Suite of applications include Performance Management, Goal Management, 360 Degree Reviews, Succession Management, Compensation Management, Learning and Development, Recruiting Management, and Analytics and Reporting, which collectively create a company-wide network of information related to employee performance, including skill-sets, interests, career aspirations, ability to relocate, experience, languages spoken and more. By providing deep, real-time, company-wide visibility into such critical performance data, companies are able to make better, more informed decisions about how to promote, recruit, compensate, reward and manage their entire employee base.
