Peak 10 announced its new partnership with Emergent Game Technologies. Leveraging the latest in VMware virtualization technology, Peak 10 will provide Emergent with a fully managed dedicated Virtual Server solution and managed firewall.
"We are excited to support the Emergent team as they utilize virtualization practices to further streamline their internal operations," said Greg Rollet, senior vice president of Peak 10's North region. "Emergent is the most recent computer gaming client to join our diverse customer portfolio, and as we become further immersed in this thriving industry we continue to learn new ways in which our services can be implemented to boost productivity."
Emergent Game Technologies develops and licenses gaming engines and tools to increase efficiency throughout the development process. Their products benefit developers working with multiple video game genres and hardware platforms. The Peak 10 Raleigh team tailored a virtualization solution to meet Emergent's needs and will ensure that its mission-critical data is both secure and accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
"Peak 10 has by far the most technically sound VMware infrastructure and knowledgeable virtualization support staff of any of the companies we considered, which is the key reason we chose them," said Brian Dibene, IT manager at Emergent Game Technologies. "With helpful and courteous account managers and support team, we have complete confidence that our data is not only available and secure at all times, but that we can rely on their superior IT support."
Through virtualization, Peak 10 allows businesses to run multiple instances of their servers on a single physical box, reducing hardware and space requirements, optimizing server utilization and providing higher levels of availability for an organization's IT infrastructure.
Leveraging its Microsoft Gold and VMware partnerships, Peak 10 combines its secure network, high-tech data centers and portfolio of managed services with localized engineering and support to serve market-leading companies nationwide.
